Although we both spent years walking the same campus at the University of Alabama, we somehow never crossed paths. Harry graduated with his masters in 2021 and moved to New Orleans to begin working as a scout for the Saints, and I moved a year later in 2022 after finishing my undergraduate degree. Little did we know that the city would bring us together in the most perfect way.
Once we were both in New Orleans, it seemed like everyone had the same idea to set us up. From many mutual friends to my maid of honor, Mary Margaret Wilson, people insisted we would be a perfect match. And as it turns out, they were absolutely right.
We finally went on our first date in January 2024 at Hot Tin, and from the moment we sat down, everything felt effortless. We immediately clicked. There were no doubts, no second guesses, just the feeling that something incredibly special had begun.
Life didn’t slow down for either of us. While Harry dove deeper into his role with the Saints, I began the demanding but rewarding journey of medical school. Even in the busiest seasons — late nights studying, long days of scouting, football games, exams, and everything in between — we became each other’s steady place. I went to every Saints home game to cheer him on, and he encouraged me through every late-night study session. Through it all, we knew we had found something rare and lasting.
On August 29, 2025, Harry asked me to marry him on the beach at Watersound — a place that has always felt peaceful and special to us. It was the happiest day, full of surprise, joy, and the overwhelming feeling that our forever had truly begun.
Now, we cannot wait to return to that same beautiful beach and say “I do” on March 6, 2027 surrounded by the people who have loved and supported us every step of the way. Celebrating at WaterColor on 30A feels like coming full circle — from the moment we got engaged to the moment we start our married life.
Thank you for being part of our story. We are so excited to celebrate with you!
Xx, Nicola
